International Beauty Day is celebrated onSeptember 9, a holiday for all professionals who contribute to care for and beautify your skin, transcending stereotypes such as "ageism", and betting on a philosophy of utmost respect for health.
UNIQUELY BEAUTIFUL
In 2015, CIDESCO proclaimed September 9 as International Day of Beauty.
The Comité International d'Esthétique et de Cosmétologie - CIDESCO -, was the dream of Jacques Poirsons, professor of Esthetics in Paris. It was founded in 1946 in Brussels, being the world standard for beauty and spa therapy.
"International Day of Beauty reminds us that we are all uniquely that we are all uniquely beautiful and that we should celebrate it.
The purpose of this day is to highlight the importance of taking care of our skin and the countless benefits that aesthetic treatments bring us to have a healthier and, therefore, more beautiful skin.
EDADISM
Although aging is part of the natural life cycle, "ageism," a term coined by Robert Butler in 1969, is an increasingly prevalent problem in our society. Research suggests that ageism may now be even more pervasive than sexism and racism.

Ageism is a form of social discrimination based on age that affects many people because they are considered "too young" or "too old", thus encompassing all spheres of life. It is linked to stereotypes and prejudices that usually manifest themselves as infantilization, depersonalization and dehumanization. One of the most widespread forms of "ageism" is the inappropriate use of language. All this has negative consequences for people's health, well-being and human rights.
SILENT GENERATION
The World Health Organization, together with the UN and UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund), launched a global campaign to combat age discrimination under the hastag #AWorld4AllAges.
"We cannot allow age-based stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination to limit opportunities to ensure the health, well-being and dignity of people.".
The campaign aims to promote and disseminate a debate in society regarding this problem in order to generate greater awareness and awareness of its impact on people, highlighting that our chronological age does not define "per se" neither beauty nor our capabilities. We are a sum of inner and outer beauty, and this is demonstrated day by day by this "Silent Generation", which claims its right not to be silenced.
