THE "PER-SMOKER
STORY OF A NO PERFUME
Thearomatology division of Laboratoires Celinde, with its perfumer at the helm, has for years been part of a unique and curious initiative: An anti-smoking perfume. "PER-SMOKER" is an apt play on words, since its hyphen in the middle transforms it into "for smokers". This "per-smoker" is different, unique and has its own story.
IN MEMORIAM
The idea came from the prestigious Dr. Patricia Montull, Medical Director of the first intimate surgery unit in Spain and close collaborator of the famous plastic surgeon Iván Mañero, whose wife she is.
To promote her particular way of fighting against tobacco, Dr. Montull wanted to create the "per-smoker" in memory of her mother, who died of cancer caused by this addiction, as harmful as it is common.
WITH SCIENCE AND CONSCIENCE
The objective is simple: to raise awareness so that people stop smoking. It is a somewhat risky bet, as it does not exactly smell good, but it appeals to dialogue and a sense of humor. The idea is to use the "per-smoker" when someone disturbs us with tobacco smoke in public areas such as terraces, entrances to public places, hospitals, cab ranks...
"My goal is to help along the way
people who wish to improve their physique
from a global medical and human vision".
It is to be imagined that its use will provoke all kinds of situations: tense, comical, of acceptance... but, says its creator, "once you explain with a positive attitude and good humor what it is about, most people understand it. The most important thing is that it gives rise to an open dialogue with people, or at least I try to get smokers to think for a few moments about how harmful it is to continue smoking, both for themselves and for the people around them.
A DUAL MISSION
The "per-smoker" smells really bad, like an ashtray, but unlike tobacco smoke the "per-smoker" has been formulated with non-toxic ingredients and with beneficial properties for health, such as Aloe Vera or vitamins A and C.
The profits obtained with the "per-smoker" are entirely destined to the fight against cancer and to the Dr. Mañero Foundation in Guinea Bissau, of which Celinde is also a member.
