HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
IF IT WEREN'T FOR HER, I WOULDN'T BE WHO I AM
Asevery first Sunday in May, it is time to thank the most important women in our lives for their unconditional support, generosity and dedication. The values they instill in us since childhood will endure over time as an unbreakable bond. They will always be our best influencers throughout our lives.
MAGNA MATER
Of Phrygian origin, the goddess Cybele, also known as "Magna Mater", symbolizes nature, fertility and motherhood.
At the end of the 3rd century BC, after Hannibal's victory in the Second Punic War, pessimism and despair had taken hold of Ancient Rome. Faced with the dramatic situation, a prophecy was sent to the Delphic oracle which read:
"Whenever a foreign enemy invades Italy, he can only be driven out and defeated if Cybele, Mother of the gods and goddess of Mount Ida, is transferred from Pesinunte to Rome".
The prophetess of Delphi confirmed that writing and the Magna Mater was sent to Rome. A year later, Hannibal left Italy and in memory of this event the annual Ludi Megalenses festivities were held in honor of Cybele, mother of all the gods.

MY DAILY INSPIRATION
Anna Jarvis (1864- 1948) is considered the founder of Mother's Day. Her desire to honor all mothers began in 1907, two years after the death of her mother, Ann Marie Reeves.
"I hope and pray that someone will recognize a day in memory of mothers, to celebrate the unparalleled service they provide to humanity in all areas of life."
Ann Marie Reeves, during the U.S. Civil War, created volunteer women's groups to care for wounded soldiers. After the war ended, she fought for a day to commemorate the invaluable dedication of working mothers.
All this inspired her daughter to promote the idea of a special day to honor all mothers, but it was not until 1914 that the holiday was officially declared by President Woodrow Wilson. The date chosen was the second Sunday in May, coinciding with the anniversary of Ann Marie Reeves' death.
In Spain, it will not be until 1965 when Mother's Day is set as a date for the first Sunday in May, a day to thank these important women in our lives, as Anna Jarvis fought to achieve in her time.
WHEN EVERYTHING IS SHAKY
Mothers are the beginning of life, unconditional love, protection, joy and hope. They give us their best looks, their care, their support and, above all, the best time by our side.
Therefore, this day is a tribute to all of them, to those who are here and to those who are no longer here, in gratitude for the dedication and generosity they give us, living this day with the illusion of that inner child that will always be with us.

Mothers have our every need engraved on their skin, they are the place we always come back to, the refuge where all is well. Lifting us up every time we fall, encouraging us to pursue our dreams and reach our goals.

To you, who are always ready for anything with a smile, who transmits me that illusion with every new thing you learn. You never let go of my hand and fight for my dreams as if they were your own. That you inspire me and accompany me in every step we take, dancing by my side.
